The Ritz Gentlemen's Club was born from the dream of the Fotinopoulos brothers, Steve and Stan. They formerly had an interest in another club named Sugar Babes near the Northwest freeway. Sugar Babes was forced to close in 1985 because of The City of Houston's rezoning. With the taste of the gentlemen's night life still fresh on their tongues, the brothers started looking for a new location to put a club. The old Kettle restaurant was closed down on the Gulf Freeway. Negotiations were made and the place was bought. A small scale of remodeling was done adding a stage in the only main room and a small bar. In 1986 the club opened up as The Ritz Cabaret.
Then in 1994, the brothers - who were admirers of the Las Vegas casinos - began to dream of turning the Ritz Cabaret into a Vegas style showcase. Construction took approximately two years to complete adding a total of 16,000 square feet, four stages, and three bars. With a lavish VIP room, beautiful drop chandeliers, exquisite crown molding, and shining brass, the club took on the genuine look of the planned Vegas style showcase. Even the view from the outside of the building does not do justice to the fabulous Las Vegas hotel and casino decor in the interior.
With the Fotinopoulos brothers having captured their dream they were ready to move on to something else. They sold the club in 1998 to the Saxenian brothers, Steve and Tom. The new owners had club ownership experience and recognized that few changes were needed. Therefore, they only added just a few luxury items such as a new secluded champagne room, a club limo, and in general just a continuous happy entertaining staff.
On evenings that Desirous Party hosts events, all or part of the club is exclusively reserved for our party guest. The Ritz is a great venue for lounging or dancing. Our guests have access to the stage and poles where they can put their skills to the test. The DJ Booth drives over 10,000 watts of music to get the energy going. |
